Eva Zelechowski was born 1977 in Wrocław, Poland. She and her family escaped to Vienna, Austria, in 1982, where she has been living ever since. She finished her studies of journalism and political science at University of Vienna with a thesis about media consumption of the Polish community in Vienna, and wrote for daStandard.at about immigration and minorities in Austria. Since 2013 she works as a reporter and editor at Wiener Zeitung. Her first book “Putin’s Far-Right Friends”, which she wrote with the MEP Michel Reimon, was published in February 2017.
